Michael Stack currently serves as Senior Vice President, Footwear & Golf Galaxy. In this role, Michael leads all strategy, product management and merchandising efforts for footwear, while also leading our Golf Galaxy organization.
Michael began his career at DICK’S in the early 2000’s as part of the footwear team in our Cranberry Twp., PA store. During his tenure at the company, he has held various roles in finance and investor relations, merchandising, product development and sourcing, as well as chief of staff to our executive chairman & chief merchant. Most recently, Michael served as Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development. Since 2021, Michael has served as an observer of the DICK’S Board of Directors.
Michael has experience as an entrepreneur as the founder of Bokeh Partners, a strategic finance and advisory firm serving both companies and investors. He also helped to co-found 40th Floor Capital, an organization that provides capital to companies and other investment firms across a range of industries and lifecycle stages. Michael also served as a Senior Instructor for Wall Street Prep, helping to train members and students of the financial services industry. Early in his career, Michael held various roles within the finance world for Peter J. Solomon Company as an Investment Banking Analyst and Warburg Pincus as a Private Equity Investment Analyst.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
